Magic Trang (keft) and Marcel Soufan have opened Green Planet Smoke Shop in the Shoppes of Amberly plaza in Tampa Palms.

I have known Magic Trang, who recently opened (with his partner Marcel Soufan) the Green Planet Smoke Shop, Novelties & Gifts in the same Shoppes of Amberly plaza in Tampa Palms as our office, since I coached him in youth basketball almost ten years ago. Magic (his actual name) is not just a good “kid” (anyone under 30 or so is still a kid to me) and a hard worker from a good family, he’s also got an entrepreneurial spirit. He and Marcel say they are filling a need for a high-quality smoke and gift shop in the area, although Green Planet surely isn’t a cigar shop.

It does have cigarettes, lighters, incense, candles, hookahs and hookah tobacco and unique, quality glass novelty gifts for tobacco use only and for sale only to those ages 18 and older.

Although it already is open, Green Planet will be celebrating it’s Official Grand Opening on Friday, April 20. The event will feature complimentary food and beverages and lots of great prize raffles.
