A Wesley Chapel man is dead after losing control of his vehicle and rolling off the road during the early hours of June 5.

According to the Tampa Police Department (TPD), just after midnight, 19-year- old William Gallagher, of the Country Walk community of Wesley Chapel, was driving with two passengers—16-year-old Charles Trimbl of Tampa and 21-year- old Camron Davis, also of Wesley Chapel—when he lost control of his 1998 Honda on Wild Tamarind Dr. in the K-Bar Ranch area of New Tampa near the Pasco County line.

Police say that when the car rolled, Gallagher was partially ejected from the vehicle and pinned underneath it. He was pronounced dead at the scene when help arrived. Trimbl was taken to Florida Hospital Tampa with non-life-threatening injuries. Davis, the eldest in the vehicle, fled the scene.

The accident is still under investigation, but, according to TPD, speed is thought to have been a factor in the fatal accident.
