Season Of Hope At CPCC
Sunday, July 15, 6 p.m. - Cypress Point Community Church’s Season of Hope is a four part series, highlighting the journeys of four people who overcame nearly insurmountable struggles through the hope they found in faith, among these amother who fought through 17 separate battles with cancer, a Green Beret vet, a fatal car crash survivor and a woman widowed after her husband’s plane crashed. Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous

Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous (FA) is a support group without any dues, fees or weighins and is based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. It’s a fellowship of individuals who, through shared experiences and mutual support, are recovering from the disease of food addiction. Thursday, July 21, 10:30 a.m. - A FREE English as a Second Language (ESL) class is now meeting at Tampa Bay Presbyterian Church, located at 19911 Bruce B. Downs, on Thursday mornings. Activities for school-aged children are also provided during this time. There is no charge to attend. The classes are taught by a native English speaker using several ESL and Bible study resources. TD Football Camp

Battle Of The Bands
It’s never too early to get your band pre-qualified to be part of the Teenage Battle of the Bands held annually in mid-October during the Hillsborough County Fair. Hillsborough County’s Parks, Recreation & Conservation Department is looking for bands to participate in a competition that provides free studio time to the top two winners. Band members must be between 13-20 years of age, and only one band member can be age 20. The entry fee is $50 dollars and only a limited number of bands will be accepted. Those wishing to compete must pre-qualify by providing a link to an online video of their band. For more information, contact Joe Soletti at 744-5871.
