Mini-Bulls Fastpitch Softball, a New Tampa-based competitive travel softball team, recently capped off its 2011 season by winning two State titles. The Bulls, a 12 & Under team, won the 12U Independent Softball Assocation (ISA) State title in November, and went on to win 14U Softball Assocation NSA States in December.
The Bulls played in 17 tournaments this year, winning an impressive six of those tournaments, and also racked up a second-place and five thirdplace finishes. Manager Dean Hale says that the girls play their best during the bigger tournaments, even when they’re playing against girls two years older.
“During the State tournaments, the girls played some incredible team softball,” says Hale. “In the 12U State Tournament, everything was just clicking. We had great pitching, defense and hitting. All of our girls were just hitting the ball really well.”
