Test driving a Ford may not sound like it could possibly help New Tampa’s Paul R. Wharton High raise funds for the school’s ongoing track resurfacing project, but Parks Ford of Wesley Chapel is holding an event to do just that. Parks is teaming up with Wharton to put on the “Drive One 4 UR School” event, the Ford Motor Company ‘s initiative to raise funds for valued high school programs across the country. Since the program’s inception in 2007 it has raised more than $10 million through nearly 3,000 “Drive One” events.

Zakary Adams always knew he wanted to be an Eagle Scout. On March 20, he made that goal a reality as he and his two friends, Connor Harding and Nicholas Novatne, were recognized as Eagle Scouts, the highest rank a Boy Scout can achieve, during a ceremony at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church on Cross Creek Blvd., where the trio first met and attended their scout meetings.

There is a new Pasco County Sheriff’s Office substation now open at the Shops at Wiregrass Mall next to Dillard's. The station will be a resource center for volunteers, citizen support services and for fingerprinting. The 1,535-square-foot substation was constructed using inmate labor and will serve as PCSO’s District Office for southeast Pasco County.
