Another New Tampa man has been arrested on child pornography charges, just weeks after a similar arrest was made in our area.

According to a report from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO), Joshua Scott Anderson, 26, of 10246 Arbor Side Dr. in the Arbor Greene community of New Tampa, was arrested on March 28 and charged with 10 counts of child pornography, a level three felony.

The report says that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), the Department of Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Tampa Police Department (TPD) served a search warrant at Anderson’s home and discovered photographs of child pornography. Anderson was arrested and transported to the Hillsborough County jail with bail set at $20,000.

This is the second arrest of this nature in the past few weeks in the New Tampa area. Edsel Capili, 40, of 20122 Weeping Laurel Pl. was arrested and charged with 11 counts of child pornography. He was released from Orient Rd. jail on February 29 on an $82,500 bond.

In our last issue, the New Tampa Neighborhood News incorrectly reported that Capili is a Tampa Palms resident. He actually is a resident of The Hammocks community near County Line Rd. in New Tampa We apologize for any confusion this error may have caused.
